It’s that time of year again – the time when the stars of the silver screen take to the red carpet dressed in their finest with all the world watching. Our Hollywood insider and Sunsilk Co-Creator, Jamal Hammadi, gives us the lowdown on what’s hot in hair on this year’s red carpet…
Q. What are the top three red carpet trends looks this year?
“It is still early to call this one but judging by the Golden Globes I think we will be seeing many stunning vintage hair bands a la Michelle Williams and Charlize Theron.
“Also, I anticipate many of Hollywood’s Leading Ladies will keeping it neat and chic by pulling their hair back into tight buns or pony-tails much like Angelina Jolie and Kate Beckinsale did at the 2012 Golden Globes.”
“Shorter hairstyle will have their moment in the spotlight this year as well. This season it’s all about easy and effortless hair and at doesn’t get simpler than the gorgeous Carey Mulligan and Rooney Mara.”
Q. How have they translated into hair?
“From what I’ve seen on the red carpet so far, I can see women beginning to cut their hair shorter and becoming more daring with colour. I think fringes will begin to take a back seat this season, especially those with longer hair.”
Q. Which celebs had the best style, what were they wearing?
“My favourite looks from the Golden Globes were Angelina Jolie, who looked absolutely flawless from head to toe, Charlize Theron, Michelle Williams and Rooney Mara.”
